Cohen Pickles
Address:
8 Machane Yehuda St.
Shopkeeper:
Moshe
Shop name:
Cohen Pickles
About:
When Moshe’s grandfather Shmuel made aliyah from Persia in 1948, he bought several stores at the Machane Yehuda shuk. The space at 8 Machane Yehuda Street was a butcher shop, and Moshe’s father continued to run it as such. When Moshe took over in 1979, he decided to transform it; Cohen Pickles now sells appetizing specials like olives, pickles and salads, as well as cold cuts and fresh juices.
Established in:
1979
Message for the people:
Let there be happiness and peace.
To me, the shuk is:
My life.
