Mimi's Bistro

Address:
4 HaEshkol St.

Shopkeeper:
Michal Sinai

Shop name:
Mimi’s Bistro

About:
Mimi was born in France and made aliyah as an adult. Originally a biology teacher, she attended the "Lenotre-Paris" school, one of the finest French cooking schools, and trained as a pastry chef. She decided to establish a small place, “a-la-Paris” style, at the shuk because she adores the market and the fresh products always within arm's reach.

At her bistro you will find a variety of breakfasts, salads, sandwiches, Croque Monsieur (a toast full of surprises like salmon and mushrooms), Croque Madame (a fried egg grilled sandwich), crepes, Belgian waffle, quiches, pastas and soups. It’s all fresh! Mimi draws on her pastry experience to make French macaroons and other confections. She even teaches gourmet cooking classes for small groups—find details at the restaurant.

Established in:
2010

Message for the people:
Come to us if you want to feel French.

To me, the shuk is:
The heart of the city. Here you can see all the different kinds of Jerusalem.
